The Truth

The fact is, you and I are born sinners, we came forth into this world not gifted with a divine nature, but a sin nature. Therefore it is much easier for us to do wrong than to do right.

Romans 3:10 “There is no one righteous, not even one” Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God”

The tragedy of this temporal life is we are born to die, because of our sin problem. Sin is anything we do that is against God: Lying, Stealing, Cheating, Committing Adultery, Having Sex outside of marriage, Rebellious to Parents, I believe if we are honest we will have to confess we all sin!

Because of sin you and I will die, “Man separated from God, experiences spiritual death and will encounter physical death and will eventually face eternal death in hell.

FACT: We are on a crash course with death……

Righteousness is a big word that means “Right Living”. Many today are searching for an answer to life’s problems, but the answers to life problems do not come in searching but in surrendering to your Creator.

John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.”

Romans 5:8 “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”

I Peter 3:18 “For Christ also died for sins once for all, (the) just for (the) unjust, so that He might bring us to God, having been put to death in the flesh but made alive in the spirit.”

Because of our sin problem, God must punish sin, therefore, He gave His only perfect Son to take our sin debt upon Himself, DIE, on a CROSS, be BURIED, and RISE, from the grave. Jesus Christ is the only way we have hope to eternal life and forgiveness of sins!

No Good Works will give you a right standing before Holy God, No Religion (belief system) will give you a right standing before Holy God, No morality will give you a right standing before a Holy God, only Jesus Christ can give you a right relationship with Holy God.

Ephesians 2:8-9 “For by grace you have been saved through faith; and not of yourselves, (it is) the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.”

Do you understand? You can’t have a right relationship with God until you understand your dependence upon Jesus Christ to “save” you, redeem you, and take away your sins. One only comes to Christ broken, you must be under the full guilt and load of your sins. You can’t come to God proud, arrogant or boastful, you come broken. Only when you come to a full UNDERSTANDING of those truths do you experience the marvelous GRACE of our living LORD.

Many today can’t tell the difference between someone who say’s they are a Christian and someone who doesn’t claim to be a believer in Jesus Christ. When you have been broken under the full load of sin and guilt, and you hear the good news that you can find help in Jesus Christ, you fully believe with not only your mind, but something resonates deep within your heart, you turn from everything that you think, and surrender to a new way of life!

Titus 3:5 “He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit.”

Matthew 11:28 “come to Me, all who are wary and heavy laden and I will give you rest.”

Repentance from sin means that you completely turn away from your sins to a new way of life and thinking.

Romans 12:1-2 “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”

II Corinthians 5:17 “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.”

John 14:6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

If you have read this and desire to receive Jesus Christ as your own personal Lord and Savior, we encourage you to do so. Prayers don’t save you, only Jesus saves you, but, communicate with Him, express your desire to have Him ruling and reigning over you in your life. If you are serious about this, two things will be evident:

1. You will have a desire to know more!
   1. Reading the Bible will help you discover God’s love and plan for your life *Start with I John, found in the New Testament. Read slowly and ask God to teach you.
   2. Attending a Bible believing, Bible preaching church will help guide you to God’s will for your life.
2. You will have a desire to live for Jesus Christ!
   1. Obedience to Jesus will be your passion
   2. Baptism will be something you will long to do
      1. Baptism is that first step of public faith, public obedience to Jesus. Baptism is that which marks the believer, by being completely immersed in water and raised to new life. Romans 6:4
   3. Church will be a place you can’t wait to get too….

Hebrews 10:24-25 “And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.”
